Making the Jump From ‘Girlfriends’ to Spouses

Claire Conroy Brown and Karin Gist met on the set of the TV show “Girlfriends.” They remained good friends for several years, though neither could deny a certain chemistry.

On Sept. 11, Ms. Brown and Ms. Gist were married at Borthwick Castle in North Middleton, Scotland, by Gillian Robertson, a Scottish celebrant, and taking part was their friend Albert Loya, who became a Universal Life Church minister for the occasion.

Actor Graham McTavish Planned A Scottish Castle Wedding For His Bride Garance Doré

Garance Doré, the author, illustrator, and founder of the skincare line Doré, met Scottish actor Graham McTavish, best known for his roles in Outlander and The Hobbit, on Raya.

The wedding took place at Borthwick Castle in Scotland this past January. “I had already discovered Borthwick before I met Garance as a venue for my 60th birthday,” Graham explains. “Covid put a delay on that for two years, so it felt right that we devote a whole week to not only our wedding but my long-delayed 60th.”
